We sadly say goodbye to Jamaica's little girl - Whimsy's Ruby Red, better known as Schatzee, owned and loved by Bob and Deb Wilkin. Feb. 6, 2009 - Dec.31, 2011.

Hannah Nichols and Rico (Whimsy's Play Me A Tune) enjoying some free time in Long Beach, CA in Dec. 2010 as they participate at the Eukanuba. Hannah qualified for both the Eukanuba and Westminster this past year. Hannah does her own training and Rico is one of those rare Whippets that can't wait to go into the ring with his favorite person. They are a great team. Hannah has pointed Rico in the breed ring as well as showing and winning with Rico's sis - Can. Ch. Whimsy's Lovin' Spoonful. Look for this team in the Jrs. ring and regular ring in 2011.

Corbin - Whimsy's Swiftsure Coruba Gold takes BOW at Western Washington Hound Assoc .under Eric White and BOW at the All Hound Club of Bellingham show under Jay Cunningham. He now needs a single to finish. Owned by Chadd & Misti Bowen, handled by co-breeder Linda Buchholz.

Kai - Whimsy's Swiftsure Kilo Kai takes the breed from the classes at WWWA specialty in August under Betty Stites and BOW at the All Hound Club of Bellingham show in Sept. under Jocelyn Gagne.

Cruz - Whimsy's Swiftsure Cruzan Gold taking the breed at the Sighthound Club of BC specialty under Hal Pybus. Cruz is major pointed in the states as well. Both Kai and Cruz live with co-breeder Linda Buchholz.

Murphy - Can. Ch. Whimsy's Over The Moon is WD at AHCB under Jocelyn Gagne

Rico - Whimsy's Play Me A Tune goes BOW both days at Wenatchee KC with owner/handler Hannah Nichols. Hannah took two more Best Jrs. At these shows as well. She is Eukanuba qualified.

Lovey - BISS Can. Ch. Whimsy's Lovin' Spoonful with her junior handler Hannah Nichols at the AHCB where she was RWB both days. Lovey was BOB at the Lower Mainland Whippet Specialty in BC under Iva Kimmelman (Merci Isle)

Maeve - Ch. Alcyon Twinkle Toes finishes her championship at Sammamish KC with a breed win and Group 3rd. Breed judge: Eva Berg, Group judge: Mary Ann Alston. Maeve is bred, owned/handled by Christine Hopperstad, co-owned by Whimsy.

I'm pleased to introduce our newest addition, Serendipity Malarkey at Whimsy. Hokum was bred by Beth Levine of Serendipity Whippets. He was born April 22, 2010, sired by Ch. Shamasan Hound-Hill Cherokee, ARX, DPCX, RN ex Can.Ch. Serendipity Skylark, FCH, DPC, TRPX, SR, OTR.

What a thrill! Lovey won BOB under breeder-judge Iva Kimmelman at the Lower Mainland Whippet Association specialty the day before the Canadian National! Thank you to our friend Jenn Hughes for handling Lovey to this presigious win.

Not to be outdone by his sister, two days later at LMWA's show and go, Murphy won his stake in the coursing trial and then went on to win WD/BOW to finish his Canadian Championship in the afternoon!

Whimsy's Swiftsure Coruba Gold wins the 12-18 mos. class at the AWC Nat'l. in Tucson under Mr. Russell McFadden. We are extremely proud of this young boy who now has 9 pts/1 major in 4 weekends of shows.

We are also so proud of Hannah Nichols and Rico (Whimsy's Play Me A Tune) who won Best Junior on Saturday, June 12th at Puyallup/Tacoma cluster.

And last but not least, Lovey was WB on Saturday under Pat Ulloa and WB/BOW under Noreen Cartwright at the Puyallup/Tacoma Cluster. She now has 13 pts...but the majors broke both days.

Lovey, now Can. Ch. Whimsy's Lovin' Spoonful finishes with a BOB at Ladies KC on Jan. 29th. Judge: Mr. T. Doxtater; and the next day takes the Breed under Ms. L. Kraft (pictured). A huge 'thank you' to Linda Buchholz for handling Lovey all weekend!

We are also proud of brothers Corbin (Whimsy's Swiftsure Coruba Gold, owned by Chadd & Misti Bowen and bred by myself and Linda Buchholz) and Cruz (Whimsy's Swiftsure Cruzan Gold, bred and co-owned by myself and Linda) who both won the points their first time in the show ring and are major pointed from the puppy class!
